Delete your account

Two ways to wipe your Tare account and every byte of data we hold. Both remove the same data on the same schedule.

Option 1: Inside the app (fastest)

Open Tare on your iPhone or Android device.
Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm. We sign you out and queue your data for deletion.

Option 2: Email us

Send from the email on your Tare account with the subject line "Delete my account". We confirm and process within 7 business days.

Lost access to that email? Include enough detail (Apple ID email, Sign in with Apple / Google identifier, rough signup date) for us to find your account.

What gets deleted

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo. When you delete your account, we strip the following from our active systems within 30 days and from backup copies within 90 days:

Email, display name, profile photo
Training profile (goals, experience, equipment, injuries)
All workout logs, sets, reps, weights, RPE, notes
Training phases and AI-generated plans
Body-scan photos and BF% / posture estimates
Milo chat history and tool-call logs
User memory facts (anything Milo remembered about you)
PostHog analytics events tied to your user ID
Supabase Auth record and session tokens
Sign in with Apple tokens (revoked via Apple's REST API)
RevenueCat subscriber record

Retained

What stays, and why

Payment records. Apple or Google hold these, not us. We never see or store your payment details.
Transaction / tax records we must keep by law (typically 7 years). Stripped of identifiers, no training data, no chat content.
Aggregated, de-identified analytics that cannot link back to you.
Security / abuse logs where retention protects the Service, for the shortest period the law allows.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.

Your subscription lives in your Apple ID or Google account, not in Tare. Cancel it before you delete your account. Otherwise it keeps renewing until you cancel at the platform level.

iOS

Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Tare → Cancel Subscription.

Android

Google Play app → profile icon (top right) → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tare → Cancel subscription.

Timeline

Right away: we sign you out, disable the account, and stop accepting new data.
Within 7 business days (email route): we confirm receipt and start processing.
Within 30 days: we purge your personal data from production systems (database, storage buckets, search indexes).
Within 90 days: all backup copies holding your data roll off our retention window.

Change your mind?

Account deletion does not reverse. There is no undo window. If you want to pause instead of delete, stop using the app and cancel your subscription. Your data stays intact and you can come back any time. Email support@trytare.app if you want to talk through options first.
